The renovation requirements
The client lived in a ground floor apartment in Bondi which was built in the 1970’s. With blue floor tiles, combo bath / shower and plain white tiling the bathroom and powder room lacked warmth and felt very dated. They wanted to renovate their apartment bathroom to give it a feeling of warmth, a coastal/beach vibe, while also looking & feeling more modern.

The combination of timber, brushed gold tapware and natural floor tiling with a predominantly white colour palette does this with ease.

The new walk in shower used the same tap and drainage locations. The alternative to this execution could have been to install a see through or frosted custom made glass shower screen. This could have made the room feel larger vs the privacy wall and enabled more light to bounce around the room.
